What is the meaning of life?

Everything you need to know about a person is contained in their answer to a single question: What is the meaning of life?

A religious person will tell you about their religion. About what their respected Bible says in response to this question, and how their lives have reflected such an answer.

The pessimist will tell you that there isn’t a meaning at all. That we’re all just pathetic humans trying to make sense of something that doesn’t need to make sense.

The optimist will tell you that everybody has a purpose, and it’s different for everyone.

But basically, there are as many ways to answer this question as there are people in this world.

My answer?

We’re here to learn.

I believe every person we meet in life serves a purpose. I believe we have as much to teach our parents as we do to learn from them. I believe everything in life contains a lesson, and a lesson is repeated until it is learned. I believe the people we think about the most are the people who have the most to teach us, and the people who leave our lives are the people who no longer have anything to learn from us, or we from them.

I believe knowledge is power, and the more we learn, the more we grow. I don’t believe ignorance is bliss, and I think the things that scare us the most are the things we don’t know.

I’m terrified of the unknown, but I’m not terrified of failing because mistakes are how we learn.

And learning is why we’re here.
