5 Reasons to Stick Up For Yourself
Fight for yourself. It’s worth it.

1. You’ll find out what really matters to you.
Sometimes, you don’t know what’s going to make you happy until you’re faced with something that you know is wrong for you. And sometimes, you don’t know what you really want until you start asking for it.

2. You’re more likely to get what you need/want.
Ask and you shall receive. If you want or need something, you have to be courageous enough to ask for it. People aren’t mind-readers. If you don’t let them know what you need/want then they aren’t going to know how to give it to you. So instead of saying silent and sulking about what you aren’t getting, ask for it!

3. You’ll get more respect.
People aren’t against you. They are simply for themselves. And if you don’t respect yourself enough to set clear boundaries, others won’t have a problem taking advantage of you. But when you respect yourself enough to stick up for yourself, the rest of the world will follow suit.

4. You’ll have more control over your own life.
When you stick up for yourself and what you believe in, you won’t get stuck letting someone else control the way you should live your life. You’ll take control over your own life and determine what’s right for you instead of relying on the opinions and judgements of others.

5. You’ll feel better.
You’ll get the satisfaction of sticking up for yourself, of finding that you have a voice and your voice matters, of staying true to who you are and what you want/need. There’s nothing that feels better than staying true to your soul, your inner self.
