An End to a Beginning

An End to a Beginning

Today, I officially completed my 300hr certification in yoga.

It sounds like a much bigger deal than it feels. Perhaps because the day was spent like any other in training: practicing, sweating, teaching, bonding, talking, growing, etc…

It felt so normal that I kept forgetting this was the last day my group would be meeting together.

And, honestly, I was really disappointed by how the day ended.

Half of my group left early, including our teacher. The half that stayed for the full time traded contact info before parting ways.

And that was that.

As far as endings go, it wasn’t ideal. It was lacking closure.

And I don’t do well without closure.

At the same time, though, I only have a week off from training before I dive right back in to continue for another 200 hours. I’m working toward my 500hr certification, and many other students in my group are too. So it’s not an ending.

It’s just another step toward a new beginning.

Therefore, closure isn’t necessary. This chapter in my life is still being written.

And I can hardly wait to see what comes next.
