She’s an animal.
Reckless and cannibalistic
when it comes to my heart.
She takes a bite
and says goodbye,
leaves me in pieces
until she comes around for another try.
I never know when she’ll appear,
but I know with time she’ll disappear.
She can’t stay,
claims she doesn’t know how.
Knows I want to be more,
will take all she has to give
over and over and over again.
She’s the hunter and
I’m the prey
and I’ll do anything,
everything to make her stay.
