July 2023 Theme & Call For Submissions

new theme for July 2023: summertime adventures

I’ve been doing a lot of traveling this summer.

Travel is hard with kids, but now that my daughter is a bit older (and no longer starts screaming the second I put her in her carseat), I’ve been feeling that itch to venture out onto the road and see what the world has to offer.

In just the past two months, I’ve visited three different states and spent just under a week at each. And man has it been wonderful! My heart is beyond full from the joy of experiencing the unique perspectives each of these places has to offer.

So naturally I was inspired to make this month’s theme all about travel.

Do you have any travel stories to tell? What about an emotional, personal journey? The traveling we do within can often be just as rewarding as the traveling we do in the physical world.

So whatever kind of traveling stories you have to share, we’d love to hear them!

July 2023 call for submissions of fiction, poetry, nonfiction, personal narratives and reviews centered on the theme of travel
